In our latest NLP Masters course I lead, my brilliant students laid a challenge to me. I use alot of stories about my early days surfing in the course and they said to me, "Why aren't you still surfing- it sounds like you loved it?" And I certainly did enjoy surfing :)
So, I promised them (and me) that I would get back into it. On the Friday after the course, I boaught a new board (in the picture). It had been 12 years since exiting the water and now I was ready to re-enter it.
I wasn’t sure if it was the older body or the newer board, however I had to integrate some motivating moments as I got caught inside (surf talk for being smashed between a few sets of waves).
Thankfully they were just about 1 and ½ metres, not too big...
A nice baptism and what’s more – my old wetsuit still fits! This summer holidays it's time to hit the waves...i'll see you out there!

Good on you Rik! Looks like there may be a young surfie chick keen to get on board! :)
Merry Merry Christmas to your family x x
Hey Rik, the board looks great. Carrie Anne was saying you got one. I just bought an 8ft gun myself. We'll have to go out and catch some waves. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
